All British sports cars use ‘slow-blow’ rated fuses that are very different than the “fast-blow’ rated fuses that are commonly available in the United States.
The British fuses will not immediately blow if the rated amperage is exceeded, but American fuses will fail as soon as the rated amperage is exceeded. As an illustration, a 15 AMP fast-blow fuse is equivalent to a 30 AMP “slow-blow” fuse.
