How often should brake fluid be changed?

Modified on Fri, 13 Jan, 2023 at 10:44 AM

Both glycol and silicone brake fluid should be changed every 18 to 24 months regardless of how frequently the car is used.

Because traditional glycol based fluid absorbs atmospheric moisture it is imperative to flush the system on a regular basis to prevent corrosion in the brake system that can compromise safety and performance.
